Summary: Really nice upgrade of a classic motel along the Rainbow Highway in Salida. The room was super comfortable with really nice touches. The bathroom was super clean with a nice tub and good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows are terrible and need to be replaced (not to mention that they are too small for a king bed). Also, the A/C is far too small for the room, and the room was very warm, so if you need a cool room to sleep, I recommend opening the window, even in the winter. I do wish that they had the top-down, bottom-up shades so you can have privacy with an open window, but I do like the shades they have as they let in a nice, diffuse light. The common area for playing games and just chilling is wonderful, and is great for groups staying in different rooms. The service was awesome and the staff super friendly.
